I enjoy learning about new events for a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that I often learn about new non-profit organization in the process. In the case of the Cinco de Mayo mini-marathon in Washington, I also learned about the Histiocytosis Association of America and the disease it hopes to eradicate.
Take a look and learn about it if you, too, are unfamiliar with how this disease impacts children and adults, and if you’re in the area, get yourself outside and participate.
