The Double Pyramid – Good For You And The Environment

We’re all familiar with the USDA’s standard food pyramid (pictured left), but have you also looked at that in the context of the impact on the environment?

This interactive double pyramid takes it a step further and integrates the concepts of a balanced diet and the food sustainability to showcase the impact on the environment. Rollover each of the sections to learn specifics about the benefit of the food group and the global footprint.

Is it surprising that the foods that have the lowest environmental impact are those that we should be consuming most? Please share your thoughts below.
