A Thanksgiving Mantra | Words To Sweat By

A Thanksgiving Mantra

by Dana on November 25, 2010

On this Thanksgiving Day, it is with a simple mantra of  “thank you” that I plan to begin the holiday season.

Thank you to my customers. Thank you to my advisers. Thank you to everyone who has spread the word about my products. Thank you to my family and friends who have listened, without complaint, to my funky ideas and helped me focus my thinking and my approach.

In addition to giving thanks, I also plan on reflecting some more on a post I read by Jamie Lee Curtis titled Attitude of Gratitude. In it, she reminds us that we have the ability “to change [our] attitude and [our] message.”

Changing these two important aspects of our day-to-day interactions is not only important because of how it will benefit our relationships with others, but also our relationship with ourselves. The holidays can be a stressful time if we do not stay focused on the things we value most, therefore it is good to find a mantra that will keep us grounded and keep our attitudes inline with our messages.

So, what mantra or mantras will you use to stay focused this holiday season ?
